Undervoltage protection for the onboard and starter battery
The VOTRONIC Battery Protector 40 and Battery Protector 100 devices are connected between the supply battery and the load and are suitable for all types of lead batteries (acid, gel, AGM) and all brands. They protect the battery from dangerous deep discharges and the loads and equipment from undervoltage and overvoltage and, controlled by an external switch, can also be used as a remote-controlled main battery switch.
- Switching current 40 A, briefly overloadable up to 60 A, switching status display visible externally
- EMERGENCY-ON function via switch on the device, also operable remotely via external switch
- Automatic reset as soon as the battery voltage returns to the normal range (charging)
- Separate sensor cable and switching thresholds with hysteresis and timer functions for trouble-free operation
- Bistable power relay, with extremely low power consumption of less than 3 mA (according to EN 13976)
- No self-consumption when switched off via external switch, e.g. remote control as main battery switch
- Solid screw terminals for batteries and load cables with cross-section up to 10 mm²
- The "Engine" version with higher shut-off thresholds maintains the starting capacity of emergency vehicles with a single battery circuit in accordance with the DIN EN 1789 standard.
