The SeaTalk NG wiring system is used to connect devices to NMEA 2000. One of the advantages of SeaTalk NG is that the connector nuts are located on the back of the displays; this allows for a smaller connector diameter and makes it easier to route the cables. Products with a SeaTalk NG connection can be connected to an NMEA 2000 network, and NMEA 2000 products can be connected to the SeaTalk NG network using a simple adapter cable.
