Il materiale e' neoprene elasticizzato 100%, che si adatta alla forma del parabordo senza cuciture rigide che potrebbero allentarsi nel tempo. Il neoprene offre alta resistenza al taglio, allo schiacciamento e all'usura, regge bene l'invecchiamento atmosferico e il calore, ed e' inerte verso molti agenti chimici, oli e solventi: caratteristiche rilevanti su un elemento che lavora costantemente in zona di galleggiamento, a contatto con acqua salata, carburante e raggi UV.
