Lewmar VX2/3 Winch Gypsy Kit
The Lewmar gypsy kit allows you to install or replace the gypsy on the VX2 and VX3 series anchor windlasses, adapting them for use with 10 mm chain sized according to the DIN766 standard.
The gypsy is the toothed component that engages the anchor chain and controls its recovery and paying out: the correct matching between the chain pitch and the gypsy profile is essential for reliable operation without slipping or jamming. Lewmar provides this component as a specific kit for the VX2 and VX3 models, ensuring compatibility with the original windlass.
