The Dometic thermocouple is the safety device that monitors the flame on gas cooktops. It detects the temperature of the lit burner and keeps the gas valve open; if the flame goes out, the valve closes automatically within a few seconds, cutting off the gas flow and preventing leaks. This version comes complete with a plug and nut for connecting to the valve, making replacement easier without having to work on the surrounding system.
This spare part is recommended when the burner struggles to stay lit or goes out immediately after releasing the ignition button, typical symptoms of a thermocouple at the end of its life.
