Designed for marine use. The switch trips instantly in the event of a severe overload (e.g., a short circuit), while for overloads of up to 50%, it remains engaged for a few seconds so that, if this is due to an occasional event, it has time to return to within limits without interrupting the current. In the event of a short circuit, the switch cannot be reset until the problem has been eliminated.
