Electrical
Electrical spare parts cover the motorcycle's entire ignition and power supply system: spark plugs, coils, stators, voltage regulators, starter motors, and switches. To choose the right spare part, you need the vehicle's make, model, year, and engine displacement, because each component is calibrated for the specific electrical configuration. Leggi la guida

How to choose electrical spare parts for your motorcycle
A motorcycle's electrical system includes components with very different functions. Knowing the role of each helps you identify the part that needs replacing and choose the correct one for your vehicle.
Spark plugs: type and code
Spark plugs are the most frequently replaced electrical part. The NGK or Denso code printed on the original spark plug indicates the electrode type, heat range, and thread specification. Iridium versions feature a thinner electrode and a longer lifespan than standard versions, while racing versions have tighter specifications. Before purchasing, check the exact code specified by the manufacturer for that engine.
Spark plug connections and caps
The spark plug connection (or cap) transfers high voltage from the ignition coil to the spark plug and suppresses radio interference. The NGK code identifies the internal resistance and connection type. It should be chosen based on the cable angle and the diameter of the spark plug terminal.
Ignition coils
The ignition coil converts battery voltage into high voltage to trigger the spark. SGR spare parts cover a wide range of motorcycles and scooters, with specific references for make and year. Replacing a coil with one with different specifications can compromise the ignition or damage the control unit; it is therefore essential to match the spare part to the original part number or the manufacturer's cross-reference.
Stators and voltage regulators
The stator generates the alternating current that powers the electrical circuit; the voltage regulator converts and stabilizes it to charge the battery and protect the electrical components. A faulty regulator causes battery overheating or irregular lighting. SGR and DZE cover many applications, from small-displacement single-cylinder engines to large-displacement twin-cylinder engines. The choice depends on the number of stator phases (single-phase or three-phase) and the nominal circuit voltage.
Starter motors and switches
SGR starter motors are available for scooters, naked bikes, and superbikes of various makes. Brake, idle, and clutch switches are subject to mechanical wear: an incorrect switch can prevent starting or deactivate the brake light. For these components, it is essential to specify the exact make, model, and year, as the connector and actuation stroke vary from one model to another.
