The Osculati G70 graded chain is hot-dip galvanized, compliant with the ISO standard, and marked every meter with the OSC-G7 code as a grade identifier. It belongs to the Grade 70 category, which offers high mechanical strength: compared to a standard chain of the same cross-section, it provides significantly higher working and breaking loads, allowing for the selection of a smaller diameter for the same required strength. In practice, where a standard 12 mm chain would normally be required, the 10 mm G70 is sufficient, offering a weight saving of between 40 and 60% or, for the same weight, a length 40 to 60% greater.
This version has a diameter of 12 mm and a length of 100 m, with a nominal pitch of 36 mm and an internal link width of 40 mm. The linear weight is 3.300 kg/m, for a total of 330 kg per coil. The stated working load is 3,200 kg, and the breaking load is 12,800 kg. The package is delivered in a wooden crate or a practical container for storage and handling on board.
