Southco Black Spacer for Flush Entry Door Closers
The black Southco spacer is the accessory that allows Flush locks for entrance doors to be installed on panels with a thickness of less than 10 mm. Flush locks are designed for a nominal thickness of 12.7 mm and accept panels between 10 and 12.7 mm without adapters: with this spacer, the mounting range extends down to approximately 9 mm.
The component fits between the lock and the door surface, compensating for the difference in thickness without modifying the locking mechanism. The lock that requires it operates with an increased throw of 100-150 mm compared to traditional sliding door locks, includes a security lock for locking from the inside, and comes with a strike plate and two keys: these features belong to the lock, not the spacer.
- Function: reduces the minimum mounting thickness of Flush locks from 10 mm to approximately 9 mm
- Color: black
- Compatibility: Southco Flush locks for entrance doors
- Ideal door thickness for lock: 12.7 mm (1/2")
- Mounting range without spacer: 10-12.7 mm
- Mounting range with spacer: approximately 9-10 mm
